Bergamini wins Race 1 of the OMPI Round at Misano and closes the gap in the standings!

The Bull Bikes - WRS Team rider converted his pole position into victory after 10 hard-fought laps, crossing the finish line ahead of Elia Bartolini and Jesús Torres.
The Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati has yet to crown its 2026 champion, but one thing is already certain: Devis Bergamini has been the fastest rider over a single lap this season. The Bull Bikes - WRS Team rider claimed his fourth pole position of the year before completing a perfect Saturday in Race 1, emerging victorious after a spectacular ten-lap battle with Elia Bartolini and championship leader Jesús Torres.
It was a hugely important victory for Bergamini, allowing him to take nine points back from Torres and move to within just eight points of the championship lead, throwing the fight for the first-ever Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati title wide open once again.
Elia Bartolini also delivered an outstanding performance. In only his second weekend aboard the Ducati V2, he secured second place while setting the fastest lap of the race in 1'40''119, confirming all of his potential. On the other hand, it was a race of missed opportunities for Andrea Migno.
After being involved in contact with Marco Martim during the opening laps, Migno crashed at the Rio Corner, but managed to rejoin the race and finish in eighteenth place. Martim was later handed a Long Lap Penalty by Race Direction for causing the incident.
The penalty effectively ended his chances of fighting for victory, despite showing race pace fully capable of matching the front-runners.
Kevin Farkas finished fourth, once again confirming his steady progress and collecting another 13 valuable championship points. He was followed by Marco Martim, Jacopo Hosciuc and Kevin Sabatucci, while Martin Galiuto, Tamás Lukács and Raffaele Tragni completed the top ten. Also scoring points were Nicola Tonolo, Diego Goretti, Jakub Belak, Andrea Mercaldo and Mattia Calcagno, who made his debut in the series.
With three races still remaining and 75 points still available, the championship standings see Jesús Torres leading the way with 136 points, followed by Devis Bergamini on 128 (-8). Further behind are Kevin Sabatucci and Jacopo Hosciuc, trailing the championship leader by 29 and 38 points respectively.
Attention now turns to Sunday, 26 July at 11:10, when Race 2 of the OMPI Round will get underway, bringing the Racing Night weekend of the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati to a close and marking another decisive chapter in the battle for the 2026 championship title.
