At the Village Technogym in Cesena with a special day dedicated to physical preparation, the season of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy officially kicked off!
Innovation and vision oriented to the future have represented, since the first moments of design of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy, the fundamental principles of the philosophy with which Garage 51 has structured this new racing format dedicated to young talents.
With this in mind, the “Day Zero”, which was staged in Cesena at the Technogym Village, highlighted in a concrete way the value of physical and mental preparation as essential elements so that young drivers can best express their potential on the track.
Under the watchful eye of Michele Pirro and with the technical guidance of Luigi Picone, flanked in turn by the specialized Technogym staff, several training sessions were held that involved the twenty drivers present in Cesena for this inaugural day of the program.
Technogym’s specialists analyzed in particular the main physical parameters of the riders, thus tracing the first useful bases to define the individual training path and the starting point on which to build athletic evolution during the season.
In the program also intervened Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli, founder of Formula Medicine, who explained to the young talents of V2 the importance of mental preparation: an element that, integrated with physical work, allows the driver to improve his performance while optimizing the consumption of energy.
With the “Day Zero” the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy has thus presented its sports calling card, confirming the premises that emerged during the winter: an innovative trophy, promoted by Garage 51, designed and structured to enhance the talent and growth of young riders at 360 degrees.

“This “Day Zero” has really excited and made me proud, to illustrate to the young riders of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy the right way to follow to be physically at the top is an aspect that I consider fundamental, training and grinding kilometers in the bike is in fact an action that can not ignore the physical and mental form for all those riders who want to try their hand at this sport in a professional way. I thank Technogym and Formula Medicine for writing with Garage 51 a historical page for Italian motorcycling, going in fact to revolutionize what for decades is the normal path designed for those who look out for professionalism on two wheels!"
Pierluigi Alessandri
Co-Founder Technogym
“The experience gained by virtue of the ten editions of the Olympics in which we participated allowed us to have the know-how to support athletes where they need it most, the construction of talent arises from a sum of aspects, one of these is undoubtedly the discipline in the pursuit of the objectives set by athletic preparation. Nowadays, among other things, we have to give a big hand the technology that in real time illustrates our progress and provides us with a great deal of data that clearly indicate the way forward to improve, a sort of real telemetry that, just like the one used in motorsport, allows us to take the right measures to obtain the results to which we aspire, overlapping perception to real data!"
Riccardo Ceccarelli
CEO&Founder Formula Medicine
“Young drivers turn into champions when they become leaders of themselves, a mental work that goes hand in hand with the physical one, for this reason it was important that two realities such as Technogym and Formula Medicine integrated to illustrate to the young talents of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy how the optimization of psycho-physical resources are fundamental ingredients for the training of riders.”
