Misano hosts the penultimate round of the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy

The title fight is entering its decisive phase. From 24 to 26 July, the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" will host the OMPI Round, the penultimate event of the season for the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati, as part of the spectacular CIV Racing Night.

A weekend that could play a decisive role in the championship battle before the grand finale at Cremona. After thrilling the crowds during the World Ducati Week Centenary, in front of tens of thousands of Ducatisti from around the world, the V2 Academy returns to the Italian Championship with the title race still wide open and plenty of contenders ready to give everything in the final four races of the season.

Leading the standings is Spain's Jesus Torres of the Atomico Racing Team - Ducati Varese, who tops the championship with 120 points thanks to a campaign built on consistency, speed and remarkable maturity.

Torres heads to Misano aiming to defend his championship lead and perhaps even wrap up the title fight before the double finale at Cremona.

However, the Spaniard knows that even if he does not reach a 50-point advantage by Sunday evening, every single point scored could prove crucial in the battle for the 2026 crown.

Close behind is local favourite Devis Bergamini of Bull Bikes - WRS, who trails Torres by 17 points. Also firmly in contention is Kevin Sabatucci of the Kuja Racing Team, 22 points off the lead, while Romanian-Italian rider Jacopo Hosciuc of the OMV Racing Academy sits 32 points behind.

Andrea Migno will also return to the V2 grid after proving, during his previous appearances, that he is taking the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati Trophy very seriously, claiming two victories from four races.

Misano will also mark the return from injury of Martin Galiuto, racing for Garage 51. Nicola Tonolo, as well as the highly competitive Martim Marco and Kevin Farkas, are confirmed on the grid, while Mattia Calcagno will make his championship debut.

The nineteen riders on the grid are clear proof that the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy continues to be far more than a one-make championship. Created by Garage 51 with the support of Ducati and Lenovo, it has become one of the most innovative rider development programmes in international motorsport, combining competition, technical development, physical preparation, mental coaching and personal growth within a single project dedicated to young talent.

The penultimate round of the 2026 season, held during the spectacular CIV Racing Night, will make the Romagna weekend even more memorable.

With races taking place between the afternoon and evening, the unique atmosphere of the Misano World Circuit and the large crowd expected in the grandstands will provide the riders with an outstanding stage on which to showcase their talent. The weekend gets underway on Friday 24 July with Free Practice at 09:50, followed by Q1 at 15:20. On Saturday morning, Q2 at 12:20 will decide the "Lotus Pole Position Award", while the 10-lap Race 1 starts at 17:30. Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 11:10, bringing the OMPI Round to a close before the championship heads to Cremona for the season finale.
