OMPI Misano Round: After Friday's Q1, the battle heats up

The morning Free Practice officially kicked off the fifth round of the season for the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati, which, with the OMPI Misano Round, is heading into the closing stages of the championship. In the morning, Jesús Torres topped the timesheets with a 1'40''753, ahead of Elia Bartolini and Jacopo Hosciuc.

The action intensified in the afternoon with the first qualifying session, where Devis Bergamini once again secured provisional pole position and emerged as the leading contender for the "Lotus Pole Position Award".

The Bull Bikes - WRS Team rider set an outstanding 1'39''915 before suffering a harmless crash at Misano 2, the very same corner where he had fallen during Race 1 of the World Ducati Week.

Completing the provisional front row, respectively 0''407 and 0''513 behind, were Jesús Torres and Andrea Migno, who also crashed at Turn 1 just moments after the session began.

Fourth, fifth and sixth fastest were Jacopo Hosciuc, Martim Marco Reis and Kevin Farkas, while the top ten was completed by Elia Bartolini, returning rider Martin Galiuto, Kevin Sabatucci and Diego Goretti.

On Saturday, July 25, from 12:20 to 12:40, the V2 riders will return to the Misano circuit for the second and decisive qualifying session, which will determine the starting grid and award the "Lotus Pole Position Award". Later in the afternoon, at 5:30 PM, Race 1 will get underway over a distance of 10 laps.
