The Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” was the stage, on Saturday, April 25, of the first race of the newly formed V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy - the championship designed, built and promoted by Garage 51 under the auspices Ducati - saw 20 riders representing 8 nations on the starting grid!

At the turn off of the traffic lights, however, it was Iacopo Hosciuc who took the lead in the operations played by the Spaniard Torres and Bergamini, of the leading group, until a few laps from the end, Venturini and Sabatucci were also part, but in the last kilometers they did not have a step fast enough to play the podium. After a spin of overtaking that saw the protagonist of the head trio, the audience enjoyed a last lap at the heart with Torres taking the lead until an attempt to overtake Bergamini sent him on the “green”, all this involved a penalty for track-limit that forced the Spanish rider to a penalty that effectively demoted him from the first to second place.

“I had a great time. At the start, I got off the line really well and tried to open a gap, but when I realized I couldn’t break away, I decided to stay calm and see what could happen between Torres and Bergamini. In the final corners of the last lap, they almost touched, and I took advantage of it. With the track limits penalty given to Jesus, I secured this fantastic victory, which I want to dedicate to my team, who support me in an incredible way, and to Ducati, thanks to whom I can keep chasing my dream!"

Beyond the on-track results, we witnessed fair and exciting duels which, combined with the lap time improvements recorded by all participants, showed that the philosophy behind this series is the right one and fully reflects the values on which we conceived and developed the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy!"
