The new project signed by Ducati and Garage 51 officially presented also at the fair: at the center the young talents of motorcycling tomorrow.

The V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy made a stop on the stage of the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated and innovative projects on the national motorcycle scene. The new single-brand series was presented by Michele Pirro, Ducati MotoGP rider and tester, who illustrated to the public of the fair and experts the characteristics and objectives of an initiative designed to enhance and accompany the growth of young emerging riders.

The competitive debut of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy, set for April 2026, with the first race scheduled at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, will offer participants the opportunity to compete in a technically equal championship, in which individual talent will represent the real distinctive element. Alongside the sporty aspect, ample space will be dedicated to the 360-degree training of the riders and to enhance this aspect, Luigi Ronzio, Innovation Manager and Strategist of Garage 51, also intervened on the stage of the Motor Bike Expo, which underlined how the route of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy goes beyond the only competition on the track. The young riders will in fact be supported by the staff of the Trophy in fundamental areas such as physical preparation, communication and technical development, with the aim of building complete profiles and ready to face professional motorcycling.

To further strengthen the value of the project, the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy will be able to count on a total prize pool of 100,000 euros, destined for the top ten finishers of the season. The award is made available by DTO, a historic partner of Michele Pirro, who through his CEO, the Knight Pierantonio Del Turco, wanted to concretely support an initiative dedicated to the growth of Italian motorcycling and the discovery of the champions of tomorrow. Before the official start of the championship, scheduled for the weekend of 24–26 April 2026, several test sessions are scheduled in February and March, essential to allow riders to become familiar with the Ducati V2 and better prepare for the season debut.

“After Mugello and EICMA, we also wanted to be present at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona to present the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy. On stage, together with us, there was the Ducati V2 in the livery that recalls that of the GP26: in the eyes of those who followed the presentation I reviewed my same enthusiasm for this project, born to spread the love for motorcycling and to identify new talents. Seeing among the public many young riders such as Galiuto, Vocino, Sorrenti, Gennai, Sabatucci and many others is a source of great pride and confirms how the path taken with Garage 51 and Ducati is undoubtedly the right one. My season on the track starts in these days with the MotoGP tests in Sepang; on my return we will also be ready for the first practice sessions with the V2, so as to allow the boys to arrive prepared for the inaugural appointment of Misano at the end of April".
