Torres wins Race 1 and takes the championship lead

Ten action-packed laps marked the opening race day of the WRS Round of the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati, held at Misano during the Centenary World Ducati Week.

After securing pole position in qualifying, Devis Bergamini had sent a clear message to his rivals: at Misano, he was the rider to beat.

However, the dreams of the Romagna rider came to an end at the conclusion of the opening lap when, following a less-than-perfect start, he crashed at Misano 2. At the front, an exciting battle unfolded between Andrea Migno and Jesus Torres, while Portugal's Martim Marco managed to stay in touch with the leading duo for several laps.

Behind the leading trio, Kevin Farkas delivered an impressive performance. After pulling off a double overtake on Elia Bartolini and Kevin Sabatucci, he moved up into fourth place.

The closing stages saw Migno and Torres fighting for victory. Although Migno crossed the finish line first, he exceeded track limits on the final lap and received a one-position penalty. The sanction ultimately handed both the race win and the overall championship lead to Jesus Torres.

With Andrea Migno classified second and Martim Marco celebrating his first career podium, the top five was completed by Kevin Farkas and Kevin Sabatucci. Behind them, Elia Bartolini finished sixth ahead of Jacopo Hosciuc, while Biagio Miceli, Filippo Tragni and Tamás Lukács rounded out the top ten.

In the overall championship standings, Spanish rider Jesus Torres now leads the way with 100 points, holding a 12-point advantage over Jacopo Hosciuc. Devis Bergamini and Kevin Sabatucci follow a further 13 and 15 points behind respectively.

The final showdown is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, when the riders of the Lenovo V2 Future Champ Academy Garage 51 Ducati will return to the track for the final race, set to start at 10:55 and broadcast live on Ducati's official YouTube channel. Judging by Saturday's action, another 10 thrilling laps are on the cards.
