V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy Takes to the Track at WDW 2026: Engines Fire Up on Thursday

Ducati is ready to celebrate its first 100 years of history with the World Ducati Week, taking place from July 3 to 5 at the Misano World Circuit.

Against this unique backdrop, the WRS Round of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy gets underway on Thursday, July 2, with the opening Free Practice session.

The young talents of the project created by Garage 51 and supported by Ducati will return to the track for the sixth and seventh rounds of the 2026 season, competing at one of the most prestigious and eagerly anticipated events on the calendar.

Misano will also welcome the debut of Elia Bartolini and Biagio Miceli, while championship leader Devis Bergamini will have to defend his position not only from Spain's Jesus Torres, Romania-born Jacopo Hosciuc, Kevin Sabatucci, but also from wild card entry Andrea Migno.

The action begins immediately on Thursday, July 2, with the Free Practice session. Friday will feature the Q1 and Q2 qualifying sessions, which will determine the starting grid and award the Lotus Pole Position Award, scheduled for 2:35 PM and 6:10 PM respectively.

On Saturday, July 4, the spotlight turns to Race 1, which gets underway at 4:30 PM, while Race 2 will start at 10:55 AM on Sunday, July 5.

The podium ceremonies will take place on the prestigious World Ducati Week Main Stage: Saturday at 6:00 PM following Race 1, and Sunday at 3:00 PM after Race 2.
