As part of the FIM Superbike World Championship, the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy returns to the track for the WRS Round!

The riders of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy will experience the atmosphere of a major international event as they return to the track from June 12 to 14 at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" for the WRS Round, held within the prestigious setting of the FIM Superbike World Championship.

An exceptional stage for the young talents of the series, who will compete in the fourth and fifth races of the season in front of team managers, engineers, and key figures from the international world of production-based motorcycle racing. A valuable opportunity to showcase their skills and continue the development journey that lies at the heart of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy project. Misano will also see the battle for the championship lead reignite, with Jacopo Hosciuc currently sitting at the top of the standings.

Thanks to two victories and one third-place finish in the opening three races of the season, the young rider leads the championship with 66 points. Chasing him are Mugello race winner Kevin Sabatucci, 19 points behind, and Devis Bergamini, just one point adrift of second place. Completing the top five are Lele Vocino and Pier Francesco Venturini, both ready to challenge for strong results during one of the most anticipated weekends of the year. The WRS Round will also feature a special guest rider.

The Bull Bikes - WRS Team will field Andrea Migno, a rider who has been a prominent figure on the international motorsport scene for many years. His participation will provide an important technical and performance benchmark for all Academy riders, who will also have the opportunity to learn from his experience both on and off the track, gaining valuable insight into the path required to build a career in professional motorcycle racing.

The weekend schedule will begin on Friday, June 12, with the Free Practice session scheduled from 12:15 to 12:35. Later in the afternoon, at 16:55, riders will take part in a 25-minute qualifying session that will determine the WRS Round pole position winner and the prestigious "Lotus Pole Position Award".

On Saturday, June 13, the action will intensify with Race 1, a 10-lap contest starting at 16:45. Sunday, June 14, will feature the final challenge of the weekend, with Race 2 scheduled for 16:20. On the world stage of the Superbike Championship, the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy is ready to write another chapter of its season, continuing to provide young riders with a unique development experience that brings them ever closer to the world of professional motorcycle racing.

Michele Pirro

Ambassador V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy

“The WRS Round at Misano represents a very important step in the development journey of the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy riders. For many of them, it will be their first real experience of a world-class event and the atmosphere of a WorldSBK paddock, an environment that can teach valuable lessons both on and off the track. It will be essential for them to approach the weekend with the right mindset, fully aware that they will be competing under the eyes of team managers, engineers and industry professionals who live and breathe professional motorcycle racing every day. Experiences like this help young riders grow, mature and truly understand what it takes to pursue a career at the highest level of the sport. The V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy was created precisely with this goal in mind: to provide young riders with real opportunities for development and education. Seeing how, race after race, this project is turning its philosophy into tangible and meaningful experiences for these young talents is a source of great pride for us. Misano will be another important milestone along this journey, ahead of the extraordinary World Ducati Week event!”
