WRS bets on Italian talent

WRS is investing in the future of motorcycling in a concrete way, supporting a promising talent from the Romagna region. This commitment takes shape in the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy, the new talent challenge conceived and organized by Garage 51 in collaboration with Ducati: WRS, a company specializing in aerodynamic components for high-performance motorcycles, has purchased a Ducati Panigale V2 for the championship and has selected the rider who will race it. A decision shared with the promoter, based on potential and long-term development.

The bike, managed by the Bull Bikes – WRS team, will be ridden by Devis Bergamini, born in 2003 and raised just a few kilometers from Cattolica, runner-up in last year’s Yamaha R7 Cup European Championship. A connection that strengthens the meaning of the initiative: supporting talent starting from its own territory. A genuine involvement that goes beyond the presence of the WRS windshield fitted on all bikes: the goal is to provide a young rider with the best possible conditions to grow and stand out.

WRS is a brand that combines technical expertise with Italian culture, while maintaining a strong focus on innovation. Its approach also reflects the typical energy of the Romagna region: dynamic, pragmatic, and oriented toward creating new opportunities. A continuous drive that keeps the relationship with a community of enthusiasts, teams, and riders at its core.

For this reason, WRS has chosen the V2 Future Champ Ducati Academy, a project that stands out for its support for riders: Ducati personnel always present on track, full technical management of the bikes and, for the most deserving riders, test sessions on higher-category motorcycles. A unique system in the racing landscape: a true Academy that supports riders in their technical, mental, and professional development, under the guidance of Michele Pirro and through the method developed by Garage 51.

The championship will kick off on Saturday, April 24 at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and will feature six rounds, two of which will take place within prestigious events such as the World Ducati Week, of which it is an integral part of the official event schedule also planned to celebrate Ducati’s centenary, and the WorldSBK Championship, also in Misano Adriatico.

The initiative also strengthens the relationship between WRS and Ducati, already well established in racing: WRS is a technical sponsor of the Ducati Lenovo Team in MotoGP and of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati team in Superbike, as well as the manufacturer of the windshields for the Desmosedici GP and the Panigale V4 R competing in world championships.
